Hidden Delights — Lingerie in the Arts...Terry Rodgers
Paintings full of large and complex designs, which attempt to make sense of the world we are living in, are Rodgers' trademark. Strong forces are at work, push and pull, lure and repulsion, fiction and reality, the known versus the unknown. This artist combines frustrated and sublimated desires with a fascinating eye for detail. He deals with fragile but genuine human beings, each of them unique, trying to make somethign of their life despite all the odds. Rodgers' contribution to the Hidden Delights project was inspired by the sexy, erotic and seductive lingerie of Dutch designer, Marlies Dekkers.
